What is Discipleship Training School?
Discipleship Training School, or DTS, is a 6-month immersive missions training course designed with the heart of knowing God and making Him known. The course involves formal and informal personal faith development and training, practical application, and functioning in Christ-centered community. DTS consists of two phases: lecture phase and outreach phase.
Lecture Phase
During the lecture phase, you will be fully immersed in a live-learn environment, actively engaging in a community of Radical World Changers as we pursue the Lord together, encountering Jesus through lectures, worship, prayer, conversations, meals, practical work, evangelism and more. Our desire is that life at YWAM Seamill would be centered around the presence of Jesus and we would be moved to action from there! We typically have 10-11 weeks of lecture phase at the beginning of the school, then 2-3 weeks at the end after returning from outreach. Typical lecture topics may include: Nature and Character of God, Holy Spirit, Biblical Worldview, Identity, Relationships, Missions, and more!
Outreach Phase
This is where you will take the things you learned during the lecture phase and look to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who don’t know Him yet. We learn best by putting into practice what we have learned – what you give generously to others, you keep for eternity. Outreach is about going out into the nations, so the location may be anywhere in the world! Outreach locations are prayed about by staff and announced during the lecture phase. We will have a 2-week outreach in the middle of lecture phase, then a 10-week outreach after lecture phase. Typical outreach ministries may include: partnering with churches, children’s work, physical labour, street evangelism, prayer and intercession, mercy ministries (such as food banks, orphanages), and more.
Dates and Costs
September Dates: 16th of September 2023 — 9th March 2024
Costs: £2900 is due at the beginning of the school. An additional £300-1000 will be due before outreach.
The exact cost will be dependent upon outreach location, and will be communicated during lecture phase.
Next School: September 2024 — March 2025
Please note: Tuition for the school will be £3200 beginning with the September 2024 school.

Why Seamill?
Seamill is nestled within a small quiet village on the west coast of Scotland. Our base is ideally situated on a hill looking out on the water and the stunning Isle of Arran. It is a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and seek the Lord. Our community is focused on the centrality of Jesus’ Presence in everything we do and every part of our lives. The base functions as a place for many to get away to be challenged, refreshed, and equipped, then sent out to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Come seek His presence with us in a beautiful part of the world He created!

Meet the Staff
Sam, Germany
Hi, I’m Sam! I am from Bavaria in Germany, and have been on staff with
YWAM Seamill since 2017. I lead the SSMD program here as well as
leading the DTS. Some of my passions include music and traveling.
I love Jesus and live to love Him more. I look forward to journeying
with you and pursuing the more of God together!
Amanda, Sweden
Hi! I’m Amanda and I’m 29 years old, originally from Sweden.
I have been in YWAM for 5 years since I did my DTS, and I’ll be
co-leading this upcoming school. I enjoy walks, a good cup of coffee, and
fellowship with friends over a meal or game. I’m quite gifted in
making bad puns (but I find it hilarious). I love having deep
conversations about Jesus and walking with people as they come to
know Him more. I am so looking forward to having you join our community
in this upcoming season and getting to know Jesus more together.
Tom, Netherlands
Hey, I am Tom. I’m 26, and I love road trips and campfires. I am a Dutchy
and before coming to YWAM I was a fruit farmer, so I love to be busy and
do all kinds of practical things. I also love the prophetic and exploring the
gifts of the Holy Spirit. I’m very excited to do this school with you guys and
step into what Jesus has for us all!

Hey there! My name is Marlee and I’m from Iowa, USA. I’m 27, and I have been on
staff at Seamill for about a year. A few things I enjoy are singing, running, drinking
lattes and eating peanut butter. I get excited about seeing people break free from
lies and step into freedom, especially in the area of identity! I’m so excited to
go on this great journey with you all and encounter Jesus’ great love together.
Victoria, Mexico
¡Hola! My name is Victoria, I’m from Mexico.
I did my DTS in Herrnhut, Germany in 2018 and Jesus changed my life in a special way.
I enjoy walking to see new places, visiting street markets and taking pictures. I love travelling,
building relationships with people, teaching and having conversations about who Jesus is.
I’m very excited to see how we will grow in God in this new season and see Jesus glorified
in every nation. I’m looking forward to having you join us on this journey to know Jesus
personally and continue growing together each day in our personal relationship with him.

My name is Nicole, I’m 20 years old. I am from Slave Lake, Alberta, Canada. I did my
DTS here at Seamill in 2022. I enjoy playing guitar, studying languages, and sightseeing
in Scotland. Fun fact: I will eat almost anything for breakfast, including chicken wings
or pasta. My goal in life is to live fearlessly and boldly for Jesus. I am excited to be here in
Scotland, and looking forward to see what God has for me. I am excited to meet you all!
