WHAT IS A DTS?

Discipleship Training School, or DTS, is a 6-month immersive missionary program where we seek to know God more in a community of believers from around the world. It is designed to help you deepen your relationship with Jesus, learn to hear God’s voice, and answer His call to go into the nations and make Him known.

LECTURE PHASE

The goal of lecture phase is to know God. Our DTS starts by joining in the Seamill base rhythms of weekly worship, intercession and prayer. There will be a different lecture theme each week, with time dedicated to one-on-one discipleship, small groups, good food, fun and adventure.

There are 10-11 weeks of lectures at the beginning of our DTS, and 2-3 weeks wrapping the whole experience up at the end of outreach phase.

OUTREACH PHASE

The goal of outreach is to make God known. It is time to take everything learned in lecture phase and use it to share our faith with others. Three billion people don’t yet know Jesus. Our DTS aims to partner with God by going to the ends of the earth to share the Gospel of God’s Kingdom.

There is a 2-week outreach in the middle of lecture phase, and then a 10-week outreach at the end of lecture phase.

DAFNE CROCKFORD

Dafne is from the Netherlands and did her DTS in Perth Australia in 2019. After having worked with DTS’s in Amsterdam she married Joshua in 2023 and the two of them moved to Seamill and now run the DTS here. Dafne is passionate about discipleship and seeing people being set free in Christ. Dafne is full of joy and always up for a chat and a good cup of coffee!

JOSHUA CROCKFORD

Joshua is from Townsville, Australia. He did his DTS here at YWAM Seamill in 2017. After that, he joined Fire and Fragrance at YWAM Kona where he staffed DTS, multiple leadership schools, and Bible schools. In 2022, he joined the Fire and Fragrance team in South Africa. Joshua has his masters in Christian formation and discipleship and is passionate about seeing people formed into Christ likeness.
